Self-published in November 2020, the children’s picture book, ‘Between Mountain and Sea, A Dog’s Adventure in Coigach and Assynt’ is very close to my heart.
Not only is the star of the book my faithful companion Milly the dog, it also features the landscape, habitats and wildlife of an area we both love. The aim of the book was to excite readers about the area and introduce them to some of the views and nature. There is lots to find on each page and some activities and questions at the back for more interaction.
I was lucky to receive some funding towards this book from Coigach and Assynt Living Landscape Project and their funders The Heritage Lottery Fund and Nature Scot.
The book is a paperback and measures approximately 30 x 25 cm. It has 40 pages.
For more information about the process of making the book, please read this blog post.
For more about the real Milly Dog, please read here.
And, watch this space for more activities related to the book on this website!
Like all my books, they are printed in small batches by independent printers. If it is out of stock, please email me and I will let you know when more are back in.
